Terms of use.

StandbyScout is operated by Plexus Networks, LLC. Effective 10/27/2026.

Research and planning

This website provides general research and preliminary planning tools. It does not supply an electrical design, permit approval, site inspection, installation service, or a guarantee that a generator will power a particular home.

Verify before buying

Verify exact model and package details, current prices, warranty terms, starting capability, fuel supply, and local requirements with the manufacturer and appropriately qualified installation professionals. Illustrative appliance wattages are not verified ratings for your equipment. Local authorities and applicable installation instructions govern the actual installation.

Information changes

Sources, products, availability, review content, and prices can change after a recorded check. Missing information remains unknown. External review links and dealer listings do not establish product reliability or installer quality.

Third-party relationships

Transactions and services arranged with manufacturers, retailers, publishers, or installers are governed by your arrangements with those providers. StandbyScout does not currently accept orders or installation bookings.

Responsible use

Do not use the site to disrupt service, attempt unauthorized access, or misrepresent our research as manufacturer approval or professional installation advice.
